Usually I bring the tent, screenhouse, dishes and cookware are all in a large tote, fire supplies are all in a medium tote, lots of blankets, queen size airbed, two coolers, fishing gear (lots of fishing gear!), tarps and rain supplies, folding chairs, large tote filled with meal food, misc tools, horseshoes, small tote filled with card games, approximately 1/3 chord of firewood, charcoal, couple large paper grocery bags filled with applewood for grilling and kindling, two large duffel bags of clothes (one for me, one for the lady), boots, shoes, flip flips, metal baseball bat, axe, large (10gallon) water jug, pillows, and probably tons more stuff I'm forgetting to list. It doesn't all fit in the back of the truck, last year I had to skimp on the firewood and have small fires, and leave some other stuff behind. I like my fires big, that's why I'm bringin the trailer this year.
I could just not bring firewood, and buy it locally when I get to the destination. But I don't see a point in paying for something that I have plenty of in my back yard. One time me and a buddy figured we could fish and eat the fish, so we didn't have to bring food. After about four hours and catching a little bullhead we drove to mcdonalds.
