Hit a junk yard, find an early 90s Ranger or Explorer, WITH A 4.0. That part is important.
In the fuse box there will be an opaque, tan, fuse looking item in one of the slots, with this symbol cast into the top
Take that. IIRC they fit a standard fuse slot.
Next item on your shopping list can be obtained from almost any Ford/Lincoln/Mercury vehicle from the early 90s up through the mid-2000s, with cruise control. There is a little jumper harness going into the brake master cylinder. Looks like this:
Cut it open as shown in the picture above, The fuse holder can be removed, untaped, and soldered in-line for your diode holder.
