quick motor question

i have an 89 ranger 2.9 i want to do a 4.0 out of an expolder will my 2.9 5 speed tranny work with that motor???

Yes and No... Mostly no... It will bolt up, but you'd be lucky to drive around over a week without destroying it... Get a M50D-R1 from a 4.0 equipped vehicle...
