just that, my 86 b2 with fairly fresh brakes locks up the left rear brake. it will turn in reverse, but not so much forwards. its not locked solid, but with this fresh snow here in flagstaff it just slids...

took off the the tires and the brake drums. but all looks pretty normal. however, if i push the brake pedal with the drum off the horizontal piece that seperates the shoes falls down, however i'm sure with the drum there it doesn't have the room for that to happen. thoughts? anything to look for?

quick quick please!!!!

well so much for quick.

but i took off both tires and it spins freely under power and even in neutral. so i went to put the drums back on and they didn't fit, so i backed off the adjuster, thinking thats what was holding up on it. and it worked for about 50 ft. then the back left locked up again. had to throw it in reverse to get back to my house...

help guys, the 8.8 doen't go in for another few weeks and i need my b2!!!

can you give a pic of what bar i assume it is the top one between the 2 shoes. there should be a spring on one side or the other holding it in place and nothing looks out of place when you take it off. sry but ur not really giving us much.

ya thats the bar i'm talking about. one spring, on the forward side. everything looks fine, and the brakes are pretty fresh. no burr's or anything that i can see. i'm heading outta town for a few days so i'll check on it when i get back..
