I read that part but it was still after the fact.... You were working on 12v stuff and was only using a test light, which is fine and dandy but.... Test lights don't tell you voltage, just tells you it has voltage or doesn't have voltage. Volt meters tell you WAY more than a test light.

I get hated on for speaking the truth. It's ok if you don't like what I have to say, I can care less. Just mentioning a pet peeve of mine.

I didn't use the test light I know what a test light does. No one's hating on you it's all good.

A test light is still good for some things right? like when all you need to know is if there's voltage or not...Those are usually the only kinds of electrical problems I can solve anyways lol.

Yes a test light is a valid troubleshooting tool. You just have to understand when you need a different tool.

Use the volt/ohm meter to see if the test light is working.




Or did I get that backwards.


Use the Test light to see if the Volt/ohm meter is working properly
