Questions after lift help??

A small amount of angle usually won't be a problem with TTB-specific coils, but they will need to be almost dead-flat if you want to run better coils (such as EB or Jeep coils).

This is the setup on a buddy's truck, and it seems to be decent with the Skyjacker TTB coils he runs.

That one is a modified kit, It has a 2" extension welded to it. If you buy one, your arms won't be as flat as the one in the pic.

Rockauto.com has both the Moog #K8986 and Spicer 6122025 bushings. Both are 2-pc adjustable (you can try any local 4WD or suspension shop, possibly NAPA has such bushings too).

Im gonna purchase the spicer ones from rock auto. Is this a kit that comes with 2 or do I need to purchase 2?

Looks to me they're sold individually (they would have to be at less than $21).

OK well I got the skyjacker 6" softride springs. Im not sure but I still think it can sit a little higher. Judging from these pics what would you recommend. Nevermind the steering, thats gonna be taken care of tomorrow with the extreme drop arm. For now I just wanna get the right amount of lift so that way I can put the pitman arm on and get it aligned for good. I got the adjustable camber/caster bushing as recommended earlier in this thread so im hoping to have this all done 100% tomorrow. Also were do those bushing get installed at? How many if any washers would you say I need to get the right amount of lift?

The center of the passenger side u joint is 14 1/4" and the center of the bolt on pivot point is 15 1/4". Is that were it needs to be?

I'd say that's about perfect (the pivot bolt centerline should be 1" above the wheel hub centerline, yes).

If you want though, you could add in another ¾" or so tall stack of washers, and still have enough adjustment range left for aligning it.

The caster/camber bushings go around the upper balljoint studs.

Got it all aligned today. Now it doesnt look like the pivot bolt is as high, the springs maybe settled some after some good driving and potholes today. Linkage is damn near straight with the extreme arm. Im gonna try adding a bunch of washers under to regain seme front end height. Seems like everything I do always brings it even with the wheel hub or just slightly below it. Im tempted to now get the softride 8" lift springs and be done with it. I really didnt wanna add washers underneath but I will for now just to get it all setup right.

if you change the height you'll need to have the alignment checked again.same goes for wider wheels or different offset.its a good idea to drive your truck a few days after a tape measure and carpenters square alignment before you spend a hundred or so on alignment so that its settled in somewhat.

I was looking around lmc truck and see they only got rear bump stops shown. Are the front and the rear the same? Id like to purchase those from lmc truck for me so I hope front and rear are the same.

Quick question.....what size tires are you running with that 4 inch lift in your first post? 31's?
