get sum cheap gasket material or thin cork sheet and cut out a template to put behind ur speaker and make sure the screws are tight, had that prob with my car and that fixed it up jsut fine, i actually used cardboard but cork works the best

the part where the mounting part of the speakers screws into the door, behind that put rubber or the other things that have been mentioned. this will eliminate rattles.

if you have extra fuel hose or anything like that, just use that.

weather stripping, sometimes multiple layers, is seriously incredibly cheap, readily available at lowe's or home depot or something, and works great.

when i had to make custom mounting brackets for my dash speakers (to convert OE 3 hole mounting to newer modern style of 4 hole mounting I used weather stripping between the old holes and the new bracket, and between the bracket and the speaker).

also it will help to make the screws as tight as possible since it has extra thickness to go through (not a lot more thickness, but every bit helps)


really easy stuff to work with, and like i said super cheap. you can buy a roll for your truck audio purposes, and probably never go through it all.

or bust it out hard core red neck style and cut out some card bored to fit!! cheapest fix untill your next pay check...

cheap 99c walmart mouse pads work pretty well too, just cut out the shape you need

one thing i've used on the back of speaker housings that works real well are computer mouse pads. i prefer the soft, thick ones and they work great and for cheap... even for free if you have some laying around. just a thought.
