will i have any problems riding 33s with 3.73 gearing in my 2008 ranger?

I have 32s and 3.73 gearing on my '90 with a tired 2.9L. It's not awesome on the highway, especially with headwind or hills but it does ok in town.

What engine do you have?

I think power-wise you'll be ok for the most part unless you drive at highway speeds in hilly or mountainous areas. But, having higher gears (numerically lower) like that will put more stress on other components of your drivetrain, such as your transmission and clutch.

You could drive with the 3.73s for a while and decide how you like it before switching to lower gears.

I have 33's and 3.55's. with 4.0 and mine does just fine. 5 spd too. I lost some mpg but thats about it. Truck will still get up and go.

It'll be a dog and the mpg will suffer, but if you have an automatic it'll survive. I had 32's with 3.73's on my previous Sport Trac.
