Puzzled . . .

You can't find another screw with the same thread that is already in there and just screw that in so you dont have to drill or tap anything? Or is that pin pressed in there?

and if it is pressed in I would suggest just starting to trim it down a little at a timeuntil you get the idle where you want it to be. From what I have seen in pictures the TB is supposed to use the same screw and spring setup that the original ranger TB uses.

Well, it HAS to be threaded because I've been turning it and it's come down a bit. Replacing the screw would be an intelligent solution. Why I didn't think of that, I don't know, but I thank YOU for coming up with the idea!

well there ya go, just pull it all the way out and take it to the hardware store and find one with the same threads that is around the same length, and you will have the adjustability from where it is at now all the way down to it being flat. All for what will hopefully be a 5 cent screw.

I pulled out the throttle stop. Tomorrow, I'll pick up the "five cent screw" from a hardware store and adjust the TPS reading until I get an ADS count of 30 or so. Then, I'll use the bypass bung to set idle. I sincerely hope this works!
