Got my headlights in. They are 2006 Harley edition Headlights.
first removed grill
then headlights...there are clips you pull up and out, and then I just unthreaded the adjusters until they came undone....there are two small bolts holding the corners in, than just pull outwards.
this what you find underneath
and you will need to cut out these parts (at least)
and afterwards...you should try in your lights and see if anywhere else needs trimming.
since I cant leave anything alone, I cleaned up and painted behind the lights/grill
and drivers side
conversion harness....9007 to 9008
and just plug the other bulbs in...
.youll need some of these u-clips, these ones are M8, and the bolts M8x30, to bolt in the top of the lights
youll need to fit and trim and fit and trim until they fit snug, taking the extra time will be worth it in the end. I was able to get them to fit really nice and tight.
here you can see the bolts you use on the top, and bottom, for a total of 4 bolts that hold the light in place.
\
you'll end up cutting out the old adjusters, but the 05+ lights have internal adjusters, so dont worry.
and everything back together...
still need to adjust my bumper a bit.
Oh, and hauled this home last night for a buddy, its a 1981 Ford Bronco 4x4, with a 300 inline 6 and an NP435, very neat rig.
