thats part of what has me stuck, i decided against the expo rear springs because to put everything where i needed it the front eye was way out from the bumper and the rear eye landed dead nuts under the body mount.

could i have made it work? yes but with alot more work then going over to a yota spring where my front eye can be tucked way way under the bumper and the rear be in front of my body mount.

Got bored and the wife let me out of the house for a little so I went ahead and got some of the work done on my center console.

I was trying to figure out where I could put the rear door speakers because I like to run doorless alot and it sucks having no tunes. So after some thinking I decided to put them in the console, still not sure where to move the fronts too.

Since the console is so deep I'm going to put a new bottom in it about half way up for all my junk and the bottom will have the speakers, CB and assorted wiring.

The last picture is a switch box that I pulled from a police car at the JY the other day. It's going to work nice, all the switches are led lit with relays and fuses inside ready to go... All for $3.99 lol I'm not 100% sure that's where it's going yet though.

It feels good to get back to work, now I just have to keep up with it.

Jon, just so you know that switch box (whelen or federal signal) runs about $80 new...I've got a few of them in my trucks..I'm surprised you actually was able to find that, they normally pull them as part of the lights and sirens package...

The lightbar was still on the car, I think it was actually a security car. Everything was there except for the radio's and a siren up front.

I grabbed another spotlight like I had on the ranger the switch box and the cup holder that's welded to the front of the console.

It needs a new switch but I planned to change them anyways along with the labels that have led's behind them

Doesn't it feel great to be FREE from the 'ol ball & chain !!! :yahoo:
It appears that you are on the right track in making progress on the console. Can't wait to see when it's finished-

Thats a whelen, or made by whelen. You can get different legends at galls.com and ebay. IIRC they have 72 different legends available...

I don't suppose they had any 98-2k E250 or E350 vans laying around there with the rear axle still in it, did they?? I'm looking for one pretty seriously right now..

A legend is the wording for each switch, like front flashers, or takedowns, etc
