project 87 anger

i made a new core support out of some angle, the fenders hang off the two bolts at the door, on in the section of inner fender that i left in the cab, and off the core support.

That sounds better then swapping over a new hole front clip

I've made some more progress, but have not had the time or the ability to do anything.
after doing some flexing and trimming i know i can keep the bed. i have mounted the fuel cell and LP tank and regulator, working on the trans cooler mount. going to dig it out from under all the hunting gear and get to work on it. there is a lot to do and the time is short. it's only money right

great build i wish i would have shortened my bed and frame, but beiing taunted by truggies that think a full body truck cant keep up made me stay with the full bed. any paint in your future?

I have been chipping away at it, the lp is fully plumbed, trans cooler and battery are in the bed and hooked up, new front break lines and f250 front shock mounts, new oil pan, took over a month to get from summit, remote oil filter. painless wire harness is in. I had my front axel tweaked, bringing the pinion angle to 16 deg, with 6 deg caster. changed the front springs to early bronco from Toyota gen 1 rears. it is close to running, maybe this weekend.

:icon_cheers:

been a while...
I will get exhaust this week from header back, then roll protection, exo cage for the cab.
every thing works good, I am happy

sweet build! Love it!
the only pictures that showed up for me was the ones you posted today of it flexing.
I want to do this so so so bad to my 84 ranger....but all in time. collecting parts currently for the sas.

shake down time

living her in the great northwest there are some cool places to wheel legally. while browns camp is close by, I HATE towing my trailer through Portland on 26... so I went to elbe hills. it was a real good day with very minimal issues. need to trim front fenders, broke a rear shock, a couple dents, but my biggest issue is not enough brakes. already upgraded the rear to disk.....39.5 iroc are heavy. so what have the rest of you done? Hydroboost would be a option but I already have hydraulic assist steering and I am not sure I could keep enough fluid cool to operate both off the same bump.
these are the only pic's my buddy took.

sixty something volvo wagon, getting prepped for a LS and a 6 speed. it is going to be a bad ass little ride when she is done for sure. in the next bay he has a KOH buggy getting ready to go race.

he did a great job for me, he shares my opinion that simple is better and did not over do it. i gave him lots of freedom and he nailed it. and he did it fast.
