project 87 anger

thank 94BonB
i tool 16" out of the front of bed.
my final wheel base is 114".

no pic's this week. just mounted a winch to the floor so i could get it in the shop without dropping a nut.

changed the wheels to 10" wide w/ a 2.5" back space. with most of the truck now on the frame with the correct wheels and i can see how it sits now i am going to break down some springs and get this sitting at ride height.

i broke down the spring packs today, i took 2 out of the front (toyota rears) over load and shortest spring. the 63" chevy springs came with a overload, dropped it. now i need to flex it and check it out. it looks like steering will clear with no problem. i don't have a fork lift and my floor jacks don't go high enough. any thoughts :icon_confused:

Got any ditches close by? or loading docks?

ya but it's not running yet, i have some finish welding on suspension. then i will get it going.

project delay,
had out patient surgery today trimming up good old L4 and L5. :yahoo:
with any luck i will be pain free.
i will drop back into lurking mode.

Truck is coming along nicely. Can't wait to see more, hopefully your recovery is quick and easy.

thanks, it is tough having all this time and can't do anything but look at it. bored to death.

11 days after back surgery and i can lift 20# max. i felt good and went out to the shop today. thanks to my wife for helping me move parts around. i think the hood is finished (maybe), and the core support should be done saturday. then take it all back apart again.

still working under the 20# max weight limit I managed to finish installing the 3 core radiator out of the 76 f150, and the modified core support. I also started working on seat mounts for the honda seats they will work but I wish I would have done my homework on the seats before I scrapped the old bases. I would be running explorer seats.

Great build. Im thinking about a supercab on a regular cab frame. Pretty close to what yours looks like but im thinking its gonna be 20in bed bob with about a 107in wheelbase.

good idea  , sure would have been a easier then what I did.
I seem to do every thing the hard way.

Did you weld on a new front clip or what. How did you attach your frenders and radiator support
