She finally reached a manager and was determined to get them here by Friday. The lights were still sitting in a warehouse and hadn't been shipped. The manager got them shipped, gave her a tracking number, and they're scheduled for delivery on Friday.
After Vanessa and I started dating we went to the mall and bought well over $200 in clothes from Macy's. While in another store we set the bags down to look at more stuff, and they came up missing.
We went back to Macy's and Vanessa told them what happened, what we bought, that the receipts were in the bag, that we paid cash, and that someone would probably return them to get the cash. She told them to tell the departments to watch for them.
A while later we returned to Macy's and saw a sales clerk carrying the clothes we had bought and was putting them away. We confirmed that they had just been returned from a cash sale. Vanessa got the store manager and began complaining and she was not leaving until she got her clothes back.
Believe it or not, the manager told her to go gather up everything that she had bought and gave it to her. We walked out with the clothes we paid for, and somewhere some jackass is $200+ richer.
My wife is a very sweet and carrying woman, but she won't hesitate to stick up for herself.
That experience taught us to never put the receipts in the bag and ALWAYS keep a close eye on them.

That's good to hear that your wife is not afraid to speak her mind when someone gets on her bad side.
