Yeah, i'd kinda like to find it because it will keep the inside of the boot nice and dry instead of getting it full of grease. Also, i was considering the c-clip eliminator (the one with the external spring). Would i be better off without that seal if i was going to put that spring on the axle? I have 2 inch lift springs that i am installing. Will this mod still work for me? Long term, does it cause more wear on the splines and seals? And where exactly does the boot go after you weld the ring around the axle??? The spring probably shouldn't press against the rubber of the boot, right? I already have the carrier out and the cap welded on the female spline shaft. In the event that that the passenger side seal would fail again, it would make for a much quicker fix.
