Im looking for a 4.0 to swap into my ranger. how much should i be looking to spend on the 4.0, the computer, and wiring harness? Thanks.

Depends on where you are.

But for an ok engine I wouldn't pay more than $250-350 for everything.

Better yet, pick up a complete parts truck for $400-500 get what you need and part the rest. Good deal.
