you need a "DA1", correct? Is that for an auto or stick car?

I found one using a junkyard lookup site I know, it's about 20 minutes from me, BUT, the only info it gives me is "E7SF-A1B"....and I have no idea WTF that means...but it's from an 87...

"Hey, how you doing. I live near ptbo and have an 89 5.0 litre roller motor on an engine stand in my garage. I'm planning on doing an edelbrock top end kit. The ecm you are talking about, I don't believe i'll need it. I'm going carburetor and all the fuel injection shit off the top is going. But to be honest, I'm not sure what the ecm is. electronic control module?
