technically it is a truck used to pre run a race course so the drivers can see the track with breaking the race truck. usually a 2wd mid size or mini. almost always set up with off road suspension.

now pre-runners have become there own class.

off road truck is an off road truck. doesn't matter if its a 4wd, 2wd, 6wd, 8wd, ect......
might as well have a pavement queen forum and a trailer queen forum along with an extreme rock crawler forum and a mud truck forum ........ see where this is going.......

uuuhhh no so you dont want a prerunner fourm beacuse of the up keep it will take if it means helping 2 guys save 500 bux by helping them to chose wether or not to use a bypass or non bypass shock ill willingly put in the 10 min extra of time beacuse i might need a part someday and guess who has it and is willing to givit for the cost of shipping

i voted yes for the fact that it could be a possiblity to look at some more sweet ass build threads, id like to build one myself, but its not very practical in the sticks of NH and ME

I agree that there are sites already like Race-Dezert.com but its more general desert racing. And lets not get started on DezertRangers.com, been there a few times and Im afraid to post out of fear of getting flamed right off and banned for no reason so I usually just stick to reading everything. The reasons I think a section like this would benefit the forum is that I see a lot of people asking about "prerunner" type mods or some kinda mod that is similar even if they dont know it. Basically having a section like this would attract more people to the site instead of always re-directing those people telling them to go to the previously mentioned sites.

Basically I think it would expand the TRS community and make it more diverse instead of just trail/rockcrawlers and low-riders being attracted here. Its also nice because it minimizes users needs to register at 5 other sites to get info(in my case I am registered on almost 10 other off-road/ranger sites). I could also see how having people from the crawling community give input and maybe a new viewpoint on things the prerunner guys wouldnt know about. Example would be that I live in the mountains and semi desert and I want a rig that can both go high-speeds and be able to keep up with my buddies cherokees and samurai's, get input from both sides and build a nice all around rig.

Just my opinion, but I would definitely participate and help out where ever I could if this was created.

OK, I added the forum. But now I have a question? What should be moved in to it? There is a ton of questions in the 2wd forum about lifts. Should the PreRunner forum only contain posts associated with long travel 2wd suspensions and should we leave out all the basic lift stuff so that we had a Lifted 2wd forum and 2wd PreRunner forum? The PreRunners probably don't want to weed through posts about leveling coils, cheap 2wd lifts and so forth.

Weeding (reading) through and moving stuff is the worst part.

Leave them where they are and if they come up then have someone flag a Mod to move it.

Just remember that there are 4wd pre-runners and 2wd Pre-runners.

Long travel is the name of the game. Travel and articulation are different terms and should be kept separate.

4x4 should be alloud you can have a 4x4 ranger runner um let it kinda merge with extreame suspencions and people should know where to go from there

Ya, I keep forgetting about 4WD PreRunners.

There is definitely going to have to be some fine tuning to get people pointed in the right directions.
