Power gas

Besides, ethanol increases the octane rating too. In Oklahoma, 87 octane gas w ethanol is around 91 octane and a dime cheaper than regular gas. Why buy stuff that could be potentially harmful to ur fuel system to get a little more power. Most peoples trucks, which are stock or slightly modified don't need anything more than 87 octane.

Mythbusters. They tested it. Google it.

On a slightly different variation, they tested whether or not adding moth balls increases the octane of your gas. When they reved the engine it apparently sounded better.

ok right

Higher octane fuel doesn't give you more power or better gas mileage. If it did, I'd use it in my truck. It simply makes the fuel harder to ignite, which is why high-compression engines require it to avoid detonation. If your engine can run fine on regular gas without detonation, a higher octane gas has no benefit.

Don't do this!!!! This is a dirty trick to do to someone, like putting sugar in the tank!!! Acetone works, if you blend it right. I wouldn't do it without researching it though.

Saying ethanol raises octane isn't that simple. It's harder to ignite, yes, but once lit, it has a higher temp and faster flame front. My 4.0 has a slight rattle on a hot day at WOT with 87 with 10% ethanol. With normal 87 on a hot day, it's fine. With 91 or 93 with 10% ethanol, it's fine, too. I'm sure cleaning my MAF will get rid of it entirely with all gas, as I haven't touched that on this motor yet.

In the Mythbusters episode "Scuba Diver, Car Capers" it was shown to be "plausible" that adding mothballs to a car's fuel tank would increase its horsepower. What they did not say was that the horsepower increase lasted right up until the center of the pistons melted

hey have u guys noticed?
his posts dont need a code breaker anymore

Sugar is not gasoline-soluble. In other words: It doesn't melt. Only thing it might do is clog the intake screen in the tank.
