Just bumping this. They're slowly evolving their strategy. Had one PM me today claiming to know another forum member (@stamina) and providing me with his email address to contact directly. Already knew it was a scam, but google search of the email address gave another hit at another forum with a nearly verbatim scam, only the usernames and apparently states of residence changed.
I know we have a few inesperienced members around here, and want to make sure they are aware of these scams. We try to warn people but it still happens. One recently got taken through a similar scam, but seems to have gotten it straightened out. Just be aware, anyone asking you to carry business offsite to emails is probably up to no good.
