Post your Anniversary Trail Ride photos and videos here

I'm working on a new set of wheels and tries for my b2 those ones I was running I robbed off my brothers DD jeep ha ha XD
Found a set of beadlocks local I'm gonna grab as long as they check out fine. But other than that I'm in if any one what's to head back sometime.

As long as we stay out of the woods by the lakes for sure man. Found a dude in a Chevy stuck back there something bad.

I started into that area. It was nasty. I turned around and left after a few hundred feet. Saw that stuck truck later. Probably still there.

I had my co driver running the map for me while i was driving. Best we could tell we were actually off in that orange and red area lol. And at one point it didn't show any trail at all lmao. And we where across the street too for a bit checking out the lakes.

No no. I know there is a lot worse stuff than we were on. I tried to follow it turn by turn and compare adjoining trails when we came to intersections. They really need to add signs/landmarks to both the trails and maps.

Across the road around the lake trail is pretty cut and dry.

I heard that thing back in there. It sounded big and angry, sort of like a mastodon stuck in a tar pit. My copilot was hot and getting grumpy so I cut out when everybody was going back in there to observe that debacle.

Yes it was bad back there, petroleum junkie and I were just sitting there on a hill watching them for awhile lol.
And yeah man that map wasn't really worth much at all. I found like 3 different maps online for google and each one was different and wrong in its own way lol

Looks like we should have stayed straight instead of making that turn to the lake to get to the actual trail and obstacle course @Will @bobbywalter

Wish I had realized that when we were out there. That lake trail was a pain

That's pretty much what it looked like. It was priceless.

Mid 2000s Chevy, missing a bed, broken front driveshaft yolks. One Jeep XJ trying to un-stuck it, another one lazily going around with five people in it while bogging through the thick stuff halfway up the doors like it was highway pavement.

Chevy guys couldn't get it to move on what looked like a thin mud; basically had it completely stuck in a modest puddle.

So, "Chevy logic" to the rescue! Their solution was to redline it in "D" and "R" over and over again until someone pulled them out of a mild obstacle.

You know, typical afternoon for a Chevy enthusiast at an off-road park.

OK. Done making fun of them now.

Actually they have construction equipment on site for recovery. There was a big articulated end wheel loader parked in the campground.

Our local park charges 50 an hr to move it.

So usually every other option is exhausted first lol,

I bet they are in a big hurry to get it done too...

That perimeter rock trail was perfect learning for my son. He had to hang off the wheel most of the time to direct it....was either looking at sky or off camber tree/rocks trying to occupy his space in the cab trying to follow your buggy... which affirmed both the need to run doorless with such a long vehicle and the need for doors.....or in other words.... why rock buggies exist........

all of the jungle trails were just road for that thing....2wd. the deep mud hole in the middle required 4wd....but whomever was stuck in it I think cleaned it out a bit.....was just over my frame rails....

There were several areas that were legitimate challenges I knew I would bust shit on. Perfect place for stock trucks....2019 trucks would be fun it there.

For the most part I was surprised how good the base was. You go charging into a foot of water around here and you are going to be there until something significantly bigger than you gets there and drags you out. There is no bottom to it, you dig thru the black loam, until you get to clay... and from there it is a long ways to anything else. Out there the water we went thru was about like driving thru a kiddie pool, traction was good throughout.

The only real mud I saw was when we turned around on the Beaver Run trail. It didn't look too bad really but it had also occurred to me that I was by myself and didn't have anyone's phone number if I stuck it. Wifie can't drive a stick and I ain't brave enough to ask a pregnant lady to push me out of the mud...

Smart thinking, especially that last part.
