Possible trade for B4000

I might be trading for this Mazda and I was looking for some input on the suspension. The 4x4's I'm used to have straigh axles and I was wondering from these pictures what you guys think of this lift.

I'd keep that Bronco. The Mazda is nice, but I'd keep the Bronco.

Ehh the bronco is cool but not much use on tight trails the mazda would do better on the tight stuff although its hard to gauge with out the specs.

Yeah I agree. The Axle set up with the mazda is the TTB or Twin Traction beam or something else but I cant recall the name. Its a mix between a solid axle and IFS. Alot of people bash them but in truth its quite a neat setup and alot of people grow to like it. It has 2 solid axles (one for each wheel) and they move independently.

I agree that you should keep the bronco. Trading for an already built toy is fine but I prefer to do my own work from a stock truck so I know how it was built and stuff, you don't know how good of a job he did on most of the modifications and youwon't know where to start to fix it. Plus it looks like it needs some front end work...

Yeah, Twin Track Beam and Twin I-Beam are the same basic thing. They get a lot of flack for "not flexing as well as a solid" and "not being as strong"

The catch is that the TTB setup doesn't usually get the flex in stock form just because of shorter springs. The fact that it is essentially two solid axles crossed over each other and pinned with a bolt gives it a scissoring action and the POTENTIAL for far greater flex than can be achieved with a solid axle.

As for strength, if you are doing something short of putting a V-8 Powerstroke or other +450 CID engine in the front of your truck and the TTB setup isn't strong enough for you, I kinda gotta wonder what your ground time to air time ratio is.

Considering that the 90s 200+ class trucks have 7.3Ls and TTB D-44s, it can't be that weak.
