Possible 2012 Ranger Pics

I don't feel so good now. Thank god for my '87 XLT.
I can't and won't drive auto. Well, good thing there's always plenty of older machines to go around. Real carriers of man cards.

Amen to that! It'd be better if they "brought back" the diesel Ranger to the USA!

Look what happened when GM introduced the Colorado/Canyon twins. The S10 was a true competitor to the Ranger. The C&C just suck. I've driven a few S10's (not by choice) and they aren't that bad.

I pray that they don't "wussify" the Ranger. All Ford needs to do to improve the Ranger (if that's even possible) is finally retire the Cologne V6, drop in a retuned (less HP, more torque) 3.7 from the 'Stang, and BRING BACK a 4-banger/4WD/stick combo. Oh yeah, and add a few new colors. I like the hugger orange and yellow Rangers.

ive been screaming the same point to every ford employee i come across for years

Did anyone else notice that was a right hand drive vehicle. I dont know what country they plan on releasing that thing in, but it most likely won't be here. I've never heard of a RHD a test mule or variant make it into production in the U.S.A.

After 15 years, the interior could use an update

.

Fair enough. I thought they refreshed interior around '05.

Sorry, wrong choice of words I guess. It was slightly refreshed but the overall form has been the same for 15 years. I guess I meant a restyle or all new design.

Fair enough. Frankly, there's nothing wrong, function-wise with the Ranger interior. It's a TRUCK. It's supposed to be functional, not gussied up like F-series. (Which seams to have lost it's way as a WORK TRUCK!)

The American Ranger may be on the way out. There may be some overseas models still being built but most likely not here. Now, if they did build that crew cab here like they should have done before.....that would be cool...as long as it really looks neat!!!

Oh for the love of Pete! Whoever he is! Guys common, that is a TEST mule. That isn't any truck that will see road duty except to test parts that will go on the real truck. It is a mishmash of many trucks that will simulate the weight, wheelbase etc.....

Even the Auto Makers call them Test Mules.

Go back a month or so in the Ranger news section. It is the same truck that was painted white. This in no way is the Global, North American, Plutonian or Martian Ranger. It is a test bed for parts and nothing else.

Until we see an actual photo that Ford states "This is the 2012 or whatever year Ranger" you will not know what it will look like until Ford wants you to.

Sorry to be bitchy be there isn't much skin left to beat on this dead horse.

True,
I saw these photos on another site, don't have the link, and they said that the body panels are taken from the Europian Mazda b-series, hence the Mazda badges. The mule truck is slightly bigger than the Mazda. Notice the gaps between body panels. So if Ford is going to produce an all new Ranger, I doubt it will look like this.

ditto i agree i think the only thing we can see that might be the actual truck is the cab and doors the rest do not fit the truck body at all. look at the a piller. how that ugly piece of plastic is stacked on it and dont belong on the windshield pillar. that is the only way the fenders mold into the cab. it dont line up and ford wouldn't build such a truck. you need to see alot of spy pics of autos to see how the manufacturers hide stuff and how they opps "wink wink". accidentally slip a few oppertunities of what test vehicles look like.

side note why dont we have a wink emoticon/smilies

I think they should reproduce a ford ranger GT powered by a 5.0. Every other company has sport trucks, why not us?

lets all not forget that ford sold its majority share of mazda so they're probably not in control of design anymore if it is a mazda, so doubt a ranger would look like that. and bump back to the ridgeline comment on page one, ridgelines never had man cars. my uncle bought a ridgline the same month i bought my ranger and my grandpa laughed at my uncle and asked me to take him for a ride in my ranger. hahaha
