yeah i would have sold everything off the truck but i ended up giving it to the guy that helped me put this on there.

i ran into a huge problem in the back (appologizing for the lack of photos) but first off it seemed that the truck was at the coast most of its life. shit ton of rust on everything. secondly the leafs (in the rear of coarse) i got skyjacker fr34s, have seemed to pull my axle forward, towards the transfer case, which therefore makes my driveline to short...so i have to take that in to get it the right length next week. it ****ing sucks to say the least. if anyone has any suggestions as to how to fix this without getting the driveline shortened thats cool. and yes the leaves are on the right way.

EDIT: DRIVELINE TOO LONG!!!!!

Should have done the 63 inch chevy leaves swap. Kept my driveshaft and everything where it should be, except the front hanger which has to be moved anyways.

Did you figure out the axle sitting back thing yet?

you know im actually thinking about that, possibly get some that give me about 8 inches of lift or so. and no i didnt worry about the front to much because the coils are straight up and down and so are the shocks. it may look goofy but i have a side grinder to fix that problem.

im not too hip in this scene. whats that going to do for me?

hi steer will improve the on road driving characteristics over your current situation.

its far from a must have, but once setup right you will wonder why you did not do it from the get go.

i cant even tell you how many of these trucks sit and sit and get traded off like two dollar whores because they suck to drive around because they are basically set up in this old style configuration.

the steering in this pic is a potential train wreck in regards to handling.

the robust brackets and radius arms with their configuration similar to stock, as far as articulation goes will hide some stuff and aid in handling a bit.

my suggestion for cost effective solution is to flip the tie rods and make a longer track bar and track bar mounts that parallel the steering link for now....by doing that you may never need to spend the coin to do high steer.

i dont think it was "finished" being bolted up in this picture. they are damn near hidden behind one another. it drives better than when i had the ttb in, except for the driveline issue.

then you are definitely a wheeler.:D

I see un-matched track-bar/draglink angles. Meaning bumpsteer :icon_thumby:

they do appear that way in the pictures but they are damn near perfectly in line with each other. GETTING A PICTURE UP OF THEM RIGHT NOW... correct me if im wrong but bumpsteer=hit a bump and steering wheel jerks one way or the other? doesnt do it with mine. like i said they are pretty damn good.

if anyone has any input on the rear driveline problem that would be GREAT!!!!!!!

here is the track bar/drag link. note: dont mind the bolts missing from the diff cover, the truck is sitting until i can get a BUNCH of other shit to get this rig going.

Ok yeah so the angle of the other picture really through things out of whack. They are parrallel. Probably drives pretty nice then.

I'd still look into highsteer knuckles and arms, since there is so much angle on the draglink joints (Draglink-rod-end = DRE). Those kind of angles (30 degrees is the max they can go and it looks like they are already there) will toast the joints in a short amount of time. Highsteer would put the tie rod up above the centerline of the axle, out of harms way from rocks and also would cut down tremendously on the operating angle your draglink would be at. You would then have to modify the track bar mount on the axle or the frame to put it parrallel with the draglink, other wise they will be mismatched and bumpsteer will result.

That's just a suggestion though, high steer knuckles and arms ain't cheap, so I understand not going there for a while.

And yes bumpsteer is exactly what you described.

Driveline is too short you say? By how much does it seem? Do you have the 1 piece or the 2 piece?

no driveline is too long, its compressed all the way and tore the shit out of the boot just driving it to my house from the place i completed the sas at (approx. 30 miles). its the stock 2 piece driveline...any suggestions?
