I have a 94 mazda b4000 and when I take some sharp corners or not so sharp corners it pops and then grinds. To stop this I have to put it in reverse and back up what could this be? I cleaned up the hubs when I put new wheel bearings in it. Please help me.

You're not in 4x4 when you do this are you?

bad u joints?

my auto hubs are bad and they stick on most of the time. when they are stuck on, they sound like a knobby tire on asphalt, and give a horrible grinding sound from time to time when braking hard..so i'd agree that the auto hub is shot!

Sometimes you can clean auto hubs out with a shitload of brake cleaner and lube them with something other than wheel bearing grease, like ATF or garage door lube...they're not supposed to be full of grease and it will case them to do weird shit. Clean em up and see if it helps.

Well I just cleaned up the hubs when I did wheel bearings. Is there any way i can test the hubs to see if there bad. I wanted to switch to manual does anyone have suggestions?

I have problems with my slip yoke there was no grease or rubber boot on it so the splines rounded off and made noise. grab your right hand axle shaft if you can move it around its bad if not its fine

there shouldnt be alot of play id say 1-2 mm max.
