Polk Audio Speakers

What's wrong with the Basslink?

Some people think they are underpowered and distorted, I have never heard one so I cant comment. I do understand they have a Basslink II that is supposed to be clearer, but again, I havent personally heard one. But if I was in a position to choose between a basslink and a decent sub and amp combo I would go with a sub/amp just because you can do so much with porting. I could see a Basslink good for a person who needs to be able to easily remove thier setup fairly often.

I went with the basslink because it was small. And I don't know jack shit about subs, boxes, and amps, so it was easy. There is not a lot of room in a BII, especially loaded down with camping gear.

It is distorted when cranked all the way up, but at 50% or so it's just fine. I'm not trying to rattle the windows on the houses 3 blocks over, just wanted to add some body to my music. I have no complaints with it.
