plz HELP BOG PROBLEM!! BUT prob a simple 1! lol

i was drivin the other day and my lights got real dim so i figured it was the alternator, i checked it by unplugging the battery and the truck shut right off, so i put a new 1 in thinking i would be good and my truck shuts off wen i unplug the battery, i drove it home off the battery and the alternator isn't working! any ideas where i can look?

also, yea the truck will shut off if you disconnect the battery...

ya it dsnt matter!

ya i supposed to run off the alt, thats how u check and c if the alt is bad!, changed it and put a new fuse in and runs pppppuuuurrrrfffect.

dont try that trick on newer vehicles though. Youll be after a new computer if you do

Disconnecting a battery terminal while the engine is running will blow the diode. If your alternator wasnt bad before, it probably is now.
