I have a chance to get a plow for my 01, Ya I know your not supposed to put one on. The plow is on a 86 Ranger right now and I need to know if the Frame is the same as an 01 or if it could work.

The frames are very different between 1986 and 2001. What brand of plow is this? Most modern snowplows use a modular truckside mount that is vehicle specific. You may be able to find a mount for your truck that is the samde style as the plow (Western UniMount or Fisher Minute mount for example).

I don't know the make Johnny. The guy said it's mounted on a 86 right now and he'd sell it without the truck.

How about a 99 chassis , Is it the same as a 2001?

Thanks Guys

a 99 is mostly the same but you will prolly find a couple of diffrences. you will see that some things say 98-01 and others will say 98-00. so they are compatible to an extent

They make light duty ones that fit on a front receiver hitch.

Another one, even though it's not available currenty,

I imagine you could fabricate a hitch setup, or for that matter, fabricate a new mount for the newer Ranger chassis.

As mentioned earlier, some things changed, some things never did. No chance you could meet with the guy and bring a measuring tape?
