Please help!!!

hey everybody. i got a 96 ranger with a big problem. truck will not stay running.. it sounds like its running outta gas. when i try to restart it idles fine for about ten seconds then just dies slowly with rpm going up and down then dead. at times when i start it it backfires and runs really rough.. tested fuel pressure ans was at 15 lbs so a bought a new fuel pump, same thing, changed map sensor, air idle motor and fuel pressure regulator.. when i swapped regulater truck fired up right away and ran perfect for 5, 10 min then back to same thing..

May be a stupid idea but what about the fuel filter?

I read the post and thought the same thing, fuel filter..........also what is the fuel pressure now with the new parts in it?
