I have a 1992 4wd. i just out on a new rotor, caliper and pass on the front passenger due an issue with it seizing up. seemed to fix that problem. i bled the system best i could and the brakes are little spongier and with very little braking, i can get the rear driver side wheel to lock up. i have rear drums. Do i just need to do a better job bleeding the system? it didn’t do this before i had to bleed the system

Yes, it probably needs bled further. Changing out a caliper lets a lot of air in to the system.

The rears locking up seem to be a common Ranger trait, but usually it's the rear passenger side in my experience.

Yeah I am going to bled it later tonight when i put on the new rotor, bearings and pads on the other side. Thanks for the help man?

also. check for a leaking wheel cylinder. ( inside of a rear wheel wet with brake fluid )

Things mysteriously fixing themselves is more concerning to me than things actually braking....

Me too but oh well?
Famous last words....We're gonna miss you buddy, when your brakes fail and you run off a bridge in the middle of the night somewhere on some backwoods dirtroad.

Seriously, you should look into it a little bit more, for safety.

Rebled them and haven’t had any problems
