so northern ct just got its first bit of snow since october. last snow my 4x4 was out cuz the module was unplugged. this time i got to test it out. like any other 18 year old i had to go drift in the fresh powder. these trucks are drift machines in 2wd. after i had my fun i got out, locked my hubs and pushed the 4x4 button. i am so impressed with how well it hooks up and keeps traction. even with my wide 32x11.5 bfg at's. i messed around and tried getting it to slide to see how it would react so i wouldnt panic in real life situations.
i would honestly recommend everyone trying this at night in an empty parking lot. its a good way to get the feel of what might happen if your truck loses traction and how to recover safely.
most people freak and hit the brakes but thats the worst thing to do. look where you want to go and keep your foot steady on the gas
all in all. i love my ranger
most importantly, drive safe
