picking up a new toy tomorrow

The seat and bars on the second bike look outstanding. Oh and good luck with the coming storm. Im not looking forward to it

not looking forward to it either. One of these a year is enough for me. It'd be one thing if it was like the rockies where it snows, and it sticks, but it's sunny and gorgeous and the local governments are prepared to respond to it. Here it just stays gloomy and gray for weeks at a time.

I'll probably be changing the oil in my generator when I get back tomorrow night, just in case. Bought it during that big one in Dec '07, I had branches fall and take down my power and telephone, and my weatherhead. I fixed it and waited for the power company to show up. My neighbors got power back after about 5 days but I waited 8 for them to come out and hook my line back up.

will do.

First operation when I get it home will be to tuck the wire harness under the tank and relocate the coil and ignition key to the clutch side of the engine. It really cleans up the space between the motor and tank.

For example - this bike is one of my major inspirations:

Already picked up some Mobil 1 V-twin full synethetic and a new oil filter, probably change it tomorrow if the garage isn't too cold. Rode around to get familiar tonight before the winter storm hits and it's a blast. It doesn't feel fast like a sportbike, but you can be doing 60 before you realize you've hit 30. The torque is ALWAYS there. The transmission ratios are so wide that 50mph is an easy cruise in 3rd gear.

I love it.

I like them more than I thought I would. Those are the stock bars, and the plan was for him to put drag bars on it, but with the weather coming and me going yesterday instead of Saturday, he didn't have time to get the drag bars in to the shop so I took the stockers. I was thinking I would just get some new bars and put them on myself but after riding around last night it's almost too comfortable to mess with.

got it out for a ride and some pictures today, after swapping cables and brake hose, new air cleaner, wire tuck, relocating the turn signals, coil and ignition key, removing a few parts I deemed unnecessary (like belt covers).

I've got a power commander on the way and yes, there will be a cover over that air filter, I'm not leaving it out in the open. It doesn't come with a cover because it uses a stock cover off a big twin, one of which I bought on ebay.

Very Nice Bike. If I had the money I would buy One.For the time being my '95 Virago will have to suffice.

Good find!

I've always loved Harleys. My father has a 70's bike sitting in the garage waiting to be restored.
