hi, there was a truck in this thread similar to mine, and the person wanted their grill painted black, same with the bumper but keeping the ford symbol. Im looking to do something similar except leaving the bumper alone, painting the grill and the fake chrome around it black and putting a stainless steel gutter guard behind the grill.

heres my truck

Not a problem . . . glad I could help

That gutterguard is hell to clean bees and dragon flies out of after every drive to keep it looking good.

ya, that was one of the things i was worried about

i could always get colinrmitchell to design a system to prevent bugs from getting in there though, maybe a giant flame thrower mounted on the bumper to toast them before they get on the guard

I put a clear coat on mine before installing, never had a problem with insects. Only time I clean the guard is when I wash the truck, and they seem to come off really easy (atleast a lot easier than the dried on ones stuck to the windsheild).

I can give it a shot tonight - you have any pics or is there only one style WBB?

Maybe a laser detection and desintegrator like Marvin the Martian uses "The Acme Desintegrator Pistol" ROFL

lol, i use it around here to keep quails and such from getting to the radiator. at night, the damn things sit in the gravel on the road and take off right at the last min. lost count of how many birds i've cleaned outta my front end.
oh, and don't forget to put some reg. window type screen behind that to help get the bugs and such that get past, before they start filling the radiator fins. lol

This one was a little difficult to get right, I mean it wasn't hard to add it to the pic, but where it goes and matching tones were harder, I hope this helps.

Photoshop Thread.

Glad to be of assistance . . .
