If it's not too much trouble, can I get this redone (or at least improved..) and have the cross on the thorax changed to a shield knot?

The main thing I think it needs is the leg shadows darkened and a little more detail around the edges.

Don't worry about spending too much time on it.. I might end up redoing it with a different design although the subject matter WILL be a tarantula with the shield knot incorporated into it. And yes, this is for a tattoo.

I almost forgot to include an example of a shield knot.

I had a hard time deciding between this style of shield knot and the more intricate style. I ended up sticking with the traditional Norse knot instead of the more intricate one since the latter was mainly used by the Celts.

Koda - I will see what I can do this weekend. Personally I would like to go over the whole thing with the pen tool and create all new lines and shading so it will look cleaner. DO you want the shield knot to wrap around the body like the cross?
