Maybe a stupid question this, but where are the front parkinglights placed?
Are they supposed to be in the corner lights? (those are empty on my car)
And how many amps are the fuse supposed to be?
According to the Haynes book 15A, but in my fusebox it's 7,5A. Something else in that fusebox doesn't add up. Is the fuse-layout from 1996 the same as in 2000?

I'll get some pictures for you later.

there should be bulbs in your corners for sure, their function i'm not 100% sure, but i think it's park lights...

Three lights turn on when you go to put the parking lights on. The corner bulb turns on, along with the 2 bottom bulbs (Which also function as a turn signal).

So if you are looking at that, the long piece has two bulbs, which function as the parking/turn signal, and the short fat piece has one bulb, which just functions as the parking light.

Great, thanx :)
Those corner lights seems to be missing about everything, they are empty(!)
As for the two bottom bulbs, I'm not sure if it's legal to use parklights as turnsignal here i Norway. I'll have to check the regulations.

as long as they are amber it shouldn't make a difference... i don't think anyone would know the difference...

pull your corner markers off, see if the wiring's there, maybe the wiring just fell inside the truck?

guys, remember, the OP is in Norway, not the US, so, there laws are different regarding lighting. Birk, ask your local police what the rules are for using parking lights as turn signals.

Yeah, that was what I meant.
I'll just ask around.

Does anyone have a picture of the fusebox layout?
It doesn't match the '96 picture in Haynes book.

absolutely check with the authorities in your area, but i honestly can't see it being any different either way, amber light is amber light...

i know here in canada you MUST have either amber or white light emitting from the front of all vehicles 96? and newer, at all times (daytime running lights)

I would assume that ford could not sell it if it didn't pass inspections so I bet that is the way its supposed to be.

Also He may not have the same ranger we do being from norway... Global ranger?
