When considering painting your undercarriage, what are some tips?

What kind of prep is involved?
What kind of paint to use?
What to paint and what to protect?
Can you just get under there and start spraying?
Can you use undercoating or spray-on bed liner?

Should one worry about surface oxidation during prep or is going over everything with a light sanding good enough?

A wire brush wheel in a drill works pretty good for surface rust.

x2. ive been getting some surface rust off the bronco like that and am surprised at how well it works.

how would por15 work for something like that?

My friends used por 15, two of them put it on there 06 and 08 chev pickups, just this year, but our buddy uses it on his dads semi's and on his 92 chev, and it was done 5 yrs ago and still lookking good. i plan on doing mine with it

I used hurculiner. I only recommend it if your really dedicated. I spent the better part of a week removing the rust from my old mustang. I gave it a skirt with some old sheets crawled under there and hit it with a sand blaster. then with proper ventilation and a full breather I rolled on the liner. it sucked. I had that shit everywhere from it dripping and was a sick as a dog from the fumes of it. buuuuuuttttttt. 2 winters in chicago and she's still clean. sorry no pictures tho
