B2s is the original red, but it's faded dull. It's been sitting up for some time.

What's good to use to get some shine back?

I'm thinking about getting a buffer....

This is a two part question though.

I've got a 2001 Jeep, great condition, black. shiny paint job.

One night some dogs got after a cat or coon or something, "tree'd" it up on the top of my jeep. They left claw marks all over the doors, fenders, etc.... trying to get to it.

I don't mind scratches, but damn dog claw marks.....looks like crap.

What could be used to get those out?

Pretty much any oxidation remover will work. Mguires and Mothers brands are great, but a little pricey.

Dog claw marks: are they through the paint? or just the topcoat? If through the paint, touch up or repaint. If they are through the top coat, wax the truck. If the truck is well cared for (waxed regularly) it probably is only through the wax layer, so wax it again.
you may consider buffing the marks out before waxing.

Mcguira's gold class car wash and Cleaner wax paste.
I used it on my B2 and it really brought the paint to life again.
