Paint codes/names?

Hi

I have a 1990 STX which is a dark grey - I'd describe it as graphite.

Anyway, the paintwork needs touching up in places. Where can I find out the code or name that Ford give this shade? It's unlikely I'll be able to buy any in the UK, but may as well start there, before trying to find a close alternative.

For UK Fords, there is a Ford website (ETIS) that you can enter a particular vehicle's details, and it will tell you things like the exact paint shade, date/place of manufacture etc etc. Is there anything similar for US Fords?

There is a VIN database for the US Fords, but last I knew it only went back to 1997.

If the label on the driver's door is intact take a picture and post it up. That will be the easiest way for us to help. The label in question would be applied to the driver's door on the surface facing the door jamb, just below opening for the latch striker.
