pa not working

Hey I just installed a midland 1001z and when i went to try the pa it didnt work. Ive plugged myipod up toit and it worked. any ideas?

did you connect the pa output on the radio to a pa speaker? they are usually 8 ohm, and handle about 5-10 watts. it only works going to an outside speaker, not the one already installed in the radio. and most radios have separate outputs for external speaker and pa speaker. the outputs work differently.

can you give more details about what kind of PA speaker you are trying to speak through?

I got it to work I just have to turn the volume up on the cb all the way
