curious as to which one of the o2 sensors this is, only reason i'm posting in this section, i'm ordering parts from rock auto tonight, need to know asap so i can get it in on the order...

code: p2272, "sensor stuck lean, bank 2 sensor 2"

is this the rear passenger side sensor? is there any other likely issue to cause this code, other than a bad sensor?

bank 2 sensor 2 was the rear o2 sensor on my jeep cherokee, if that helps any.

A last digit of "2" involving o2 sensors always denotes the down stream sensor after the cat.
Passenger side = Bank 1
Driver side = Bank 2

You need the down stream ( after the cat ) drivers side 02 sensor.

everything i've been able to find were for the pre-04 model sohc (mainly sport trac, expo, but a few rangers) they are all saying that they only have 3 o2 sensors... did they change them and i have 4? i haven't had a chance to crawl under mine to count...

I'll check....
If you do have only three the single one will be the down stream.


You have 4 02 sensors.
Looks like the connector you'll need comes out of the harness on the drivers side mounted to the transmission in front of the shifter and under the reversing lamp switch.
