*Hello. I replaced my Cam Sync with a new one and ever since I have had a P1309 Code. The oil Gauge also "Bounces". I will explain more below.
1). I replaced the Cam Sync with a new one with the sensor. I matched it up exactly like it was with the old one and used the tool that came with the new cam sync/sensor.
2). After 10 miles I got a p1309 code. So, I tried it again and got the same issue.
3). So, I took out the new sensor and put the old sensor back on the new cam sync and tried that. Same issue p1309 within 10 miles.
4). So, I took out the old cam sync and put back my original Ford cam sync and sensor and again same issue p1309.
*Also, my oil gague was "bouncing" pretty bad. It stops when I hit the gas pedal or put the truck in park. at idle it bounces like crazy. I did replace the oil switch and oil. It stopped for like a week then started up again.
I am hoping to (1) find out what I did wrong with my cam sync or how to correct it to remove the p1309 code, and (2) What is causing the oil gauge to bounce like this...and (3) Will driving hurt the truck? It starts like a champ, drives like a champ...so unsure of what to do from here.
Thanks for reading and any advice is appreciated.
