Hello Everyone!

My 1996 Ranger 2.3L has been running a little rough lately. Yesterday I installed new Motorcraft plugs and Autolite wires.

This morning the check engine light came on. I rented a code reader and it pulled 1 code....

P0352 Ignition Coil B Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction

Now what? Do I just replace a coil? Which one?

Thanks very much for the help! I greatly appreciate it!

it is strange that the code came up right after you did the plugs and wires, however you could test the coils with a multimeter. you could bring them to a parts store and have them tested or you could swap them and if the code for the other coil comes up then you know it is the coil. I dont know which coil is B I am going to guess it is the one cloest to the firewall that runs the passenger side plugs. check the conector to the coil maybe it got bumped when you changed the plugs

i would assume ignition coil B would be the intake side.

you should swap coils, unplug the battery and see if the code returns or if the code changes to the other coil.

I am glad you got it fixed. I bet you had a crack in one of the packs and when you changed the wires it irritated it more. I bet one of those packs is still good bring them to a autoparts store for a free test and or use a mulitmeter and test them your self
