oven baked headlights

a friend told me i can put my headlights in the oven and the heat makes it possible to take the lights apart so i can paint the interior or the light. ALOT of guys have them but i dont want to spend the money for em if i can do it myself. has anyone preformend this to there rig?

i want to make mine look like these.

I did it on a 2000 Mistsubishi galant to clear the corners(turn signals).
