So I went and picked up the lift last night and its in good shape. Beefy drop brackets, even got a single piece driveshaft and some manual hubs. Now I gotta find some 33's and some wheels, and take care of some things to get this lift on. Special thanks to Drangerd for all of the advice, he is a real cool dude and good to deal with.

So I now have a photobucket account and will get some pics on here by tomorrow morning. I know someone out there will be able to tell me what kind of lift it is(there are part numbers stamped into the brackets which may help?). Some parts are labeled trailmaster but I think the brackets came from somewhere else.

Cant wait to get this thing on:stirthepot::stirthepot::headbang:

Thanks. Im pretty stoked about it. Ive been watching classifieds, and checking out lifts for quite some time. I even went to 4wheel parts to get a quote on the class II skyjacker installed....$2600 bucks(ricdiculous) so I figured for that price I would do it myself. I would rather learn how to work on the truck anyways, then when something breaks I can fix it. I definately am a newbie though so I think I will try to enlist some knowledgeable help before i have parts laying all over the driveway.:icon_welder:

Anytime, Crawlin, and like I said, when you're ready just let me know......

PM'd you about the brake lines,........

And, Paleblue, didn't break anything (yet) was just gonna get some stuff to finish my build, decided to fab it instead.......

Saw your thread on wheelin up near Cheeseman, I heard they re-opened some of that, The Gulches?

Maybe next week,.........:icon_cheers:

I posted the Pictures of the lift kit in the 4x4 suspension forum. Go check em out, as of yet no one knows what lift it is....:headbang::headbang:I also just picked up a D35 new everything with warn hubs and 4.56 gears. And a 8.8 that just needs gears a new carrier and relocated shock/spring mounts. The old spring pads are already cut off. These both came from a 94 Explorer. Will a 1 piece driveshaft bolt right up????????

Congrats, Crawlin!! Good score-
Yes, a 1 piece RANGER shaft will bolt up, if it's from 98 99 or 2000, but not later, ( not without the different spider and flange, anyway) and not an explorer shaft, way too short...........Once you cut out the carrier bearing bracket, that is ....
I know for sure cuz thats what I've got on mine.....( but from a 97 exploder, same difference, tho....)

Thanks I was pretty happy about it. No real idea on how I am going to get it all in the truck. Yeah I meant the 1piece driveshaft that you gave me. Oh and they are saying it looks like a superlift 5.5-6" lift. But the newer version that actually has drop brackets.

I got a quote from High Country Performance 4x4 about doing gears in the 8.8 and either an ARB locker or open diff. Dont really plan to do any hardcore wheeling and saving some money is key so that I can put this lift on sometime this century, but maybe would want a locker down the road and should go ahead. How hard was it to set the pinion angle/ install new spring and shock mounts? They have all of the stuff I would need.
