I picked up a 85 bronco yesterday for dirt cheap with a excellent running 5.0 fuel injected to swap into my 85 ranger :yahoo:. The plan was to pull the motor and have a well powered ranger. Now my buddy got me thinking about putting the ranger cab on the bronco frame and running it that way. Where i need help deciding is.... The ranger has 4.88 gears, sliders, 4in lift with ext rad arms, lockers and works great just way underpowered. The bronco is stock with a beat up body but a lil stronger frame that would need a sas and lift as none of my ranger axles, lift will work on the bronco frame. Lets hear what everyone's input is.

put the 5.0/trans in the ranger vs. ranger cab on bronco frame. :icon_confused: :icon_welder:

Thanx
Mike

The bronco. I was suprised how well it runs, pulls away from my 4.6 f150

Put the 5.0L in the ranger, the bronco may have hidden demons. Just my .02 , nice ranger by the way.

No one wants to see a bronco/ranger truggy? Im on the fence about what Im going to end up doing. In the mean time Im gona "dress up" the bronco with some rattle can paint and pound out a few dents then drive it around and up to the trails to get a better idea of what the vehicle's outcome will be.

One more pic of the beast. I noticed it has dual shocks up front. Is that something that was factory ?

Good find :icon_thumby:

I would also stick the engine/trans in the ranger, i would think the bronco frame would be too long and wide :icon_confused:
