Older Diesel Tractors

Hey, I just found my tractor on there. An old John Deere 950 (manufactured by Yanmar, Distributed by Deere). Says average price back then was $12,000. A new 990 is around the same price....

Old? My second newest tractor just turned 60 this year. 1947 Allis Chalmers model C, my dad got it for me in seventh grade as a pile of parts (3 pickup loads to get it home). We put it back together replacing what needed replacing and now it is my show machine. The little terror sold for $1200 in 1949, not to nitpick but the seat shown in the picture isn't right, it should be a bench seat that goes from fender to fender with room for a cozy two people.

My buddy has a Yanmar like that.

There not that great....honestly....well, his isnt anyways.

My old 78 or so Cub Cadet with a 14HP Kohler pulled it ass backwards.

No telling what my98 Cub with a 18HP Vtwin Kohler would do to it.

later,
Dustin

I suspect that Yanmar 155D is more a real tractor than a Cub Cadet like your 1450. I helped a guy rebuild a 147 and a 100. They just aren't the same grade of machine.

Yup, Will that is correct. It looks identical to the one you have pictured, except it does not have turf tires, it has AG tires.

Man I wish I had $2800.

And here is my old tractor--1949 Deere MC. The only thing I've used it for is to tear the hell of my asphault driveway.
