Hello all.

I have a good question that nobody seems to know about, I have a 89 Ranger with a Dana 28 front end, a friend of mine used it to go muddin and spun the u-joint pullin my jeep out of a river, needless to say i have repaired most of it except the left axle seal, the one that goes on hte Differential, for the last year I have ben searching for this with no luck, even Ford said "sorry, Im sure we can give you a great trade in if you want a new one" i think I found it in a NAPA website, can any of you maybe help, or verify what I am looking at? it looks cone shaped but the ones ewveryone gives me are flat, HELP ME PLEASE

I think its the fact that ive been looking for like a year.

is there a special tool i might want to get to install this besides a typical seal installer?

That seal is quite common, it's used an a lot of ford transaxles as well. Noting special needed to install it. I have always used a large socket and a hammer to tap it in. I've replaced that seal on at least 4 Rangers this past year, so you can still get it. All the major parts stores have it.
