oil questions on a trans

That picture exposes illegal activity. Removing a cat is a federal crime. Probably not a good idea to put it here.

Wow.....thank you for posting here MAKG (not kidding either).

You make me realize I'm NOT the most mamby pamby person out there.

NO NO NO NO NO!

It's either a TK5 or a Mitsu FM145/146. I suspect a Mitsu FM146. Every one of those takes GL-4 GEAR OIL.

And we are very definitely not talking about a late model Ford, either for the original truck or the donor.

Chill.... I get your point. And, yes GL-4 fluid should only be used, not GL-5. But MAKG, its okay. I can feel your angry trough the screen.

Hey Crashtest84, what part of Oklahoma do you live in? I live here on the South side of Tinker AFB.

Im just outside of tulsa, but im moving to Broken arrow soon. I gotta find a house and find out what ford is going to to with the glass plant here. So I know if I will have a job!

Dig up some 75W90 Quaker State GL4 and it should shift easier then straight 90. Or 80W90 synthetic GL4 .

I'm guessing that you are just THAT familiar with it? How can you tell that there is no cat to being with? Is that non-stock piping or what?

Yup. The cat SHOULD be in the picture -- right next to the trans. The Y-pipe should close right next to the bellhousing on the passenger side.
