You'll also need to swap the entire wiring harness from the 91 into the '85, that includes the dash harness, taillight harness, etc.

It takes some trial and error on this particular swap, I put a '92 2.3l into an '86 a couple years ago.

they put floor shifts on A4LD's? I know the C3 isn't an OD tranny, but don't know what auto they floor shifted that was an OD...

All automatics in RBVs were floor shifted before '89.
