Oil leak

Instead of saying left or right, why don't we just say passenger side / driver's side?
We could also say Port or Starboard, It's pretty clear that the Left IS the Driver's side. In the Auto world, some cars are Righthand Drive, But we, in America are Lefthand Drive.

Yeah. but doesn't it seem peculiar that Ford chooses to make the passenger side bank 1? ;-)

In the aircraft world, odd numbers are left, even right.

That's way over my head

Rangers fly somewhat poorly.

Do you have a handy neighbor or a friend you can call to help you with this? If you cant see, move your body to be able to see AND don't have a flashlight then I would get someone who can do at least 2 of the 3. Anyone with good eyes and a flashlight should be able to find the leak. Are you sure its not from the oil filter drip funnel thing? Also when did this oil leak start? if it started when you had an oil change then I would suspect the filter got a double gasket.

I did that one time. That ain't no slow leak man! I had almost the entire five quarts on my garage floor PDQ! Did it on a motorcycle once accidentally as well. Same result. Start it up to look for leaks, blam, oil everywhere. What a mess! What a waste of oil! When I did it on the Ranger, I just assumed everything was good because I've changed the oil so many times in 19 years. Started it and walked away for a few minutes. Came back and there was oil running out the front of the garage. Damn! If I hadn't come back when I did, it likely would have seized from lack of oil.

Two thirds of the world drives on the right just like we do.
